The Opening Ceremony of Tharketa Natural Gas Power Station  was held at that Power Station in Thaketa Township, Yangon Region at  09:00 AM, 17 th march 2018.           H.E. Union  Minister U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, H.E. Union Minister U Kyaw Win for  Ministry of Planning and Finance, Deputy Minister  Dr. Tun Naing , Ministers for State/Region Government , U Naing Lin Myint , Vice Chairman of Yangon Region Hluttaw, Departmental Heads, Mr.Hong Liang, Chinese Ambassador for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, personal concerned from UREC (Union Resources of Engineering Co., Ltd) and the guests were presented.

Ceremony of MOGE Geological forum 2018 hosted by MOGE under MOEE was held at Mingalarthiri Hotel, Naypyidaw,  on 15th March 2018 in the morning together with  Total E&P , PETRONAS , PTTEP Companies which are making joint venture cooperation of oil and gas planning  exploration and production of Onshore and Offshore blocks with MOGE.            H.E.    For development of human life, electricity is produced in many ways. Nowadays, we know that Ministry of Electricity & Energy tried to produce more electricity for Kawnglanghpu Town in Putao District, Kachin State. The ceremony for press release of MOEE was held at Office No.27, Nay Pyi Taw, today. In this ceremony, MOEE explained the current situations and future plan of on-going projects, producing Notice to Proceed for (4) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to Power Projects, implementation of National Grid, the performance of future plan of domestic meter, the evaluation on basic data for tariff reform, the performance of Test Lab for (4) meter systems, the production of Natural Gas from Block A-6 and AD-7

H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy met H.E. Mr. Lee Sang- hwa, Korean ambassador for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and companions at Minister”s Partour, Office No.(27), on 13th March, 2018 in the morning. In this meeting, Union Minister U Win Khaing said that MOEE has been proceeding to fulfill electricity demand by generating from hydro , natural gas and renewable energy and to get reserve electricity. The current electricity generation is 3000MW but demand is 4500MW per day. Therefore, MOEE has decided to implement 3 LNG to Power Projects
