H.E. Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy accompanied by permanent secretary U Tin Maung Oo, responsible persons from Department of Electric Power Planning , Department of Power Transmission and System Control and Electricity Supply Enterprise inspected 230/66/11 kV, 100 MVA Ponnakyun Main Sub Station in Ponnakyun Township for the interest of satisfied electricity utilization, Voltage system stabilization and reduction of electricity loss in Sittway District and Mrauk-U District, Rakhine State on 30th March, 2018 in the afternoon.

Electric Power Generation Enterprise under MOEE and Gold Energy Co., Ltd signed the Sixth Signing Ceremony for Power Purchase Agreement on 28th March, 2018, (18:30) hr at Horizon Lake View Resort Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw.

Under the instruction of getting electricity as soon as possible in Rathedaung, Buthedaung, Maungdaw and surrounding area, Ministry of Electricity and Energy has started to construct 66kV Ponnakyun- Rathedaung transmission line (22.2 miles), 230 kV Ponnakyun- Substation Swith Bay Extension and 66/11 kV 5MVA Rathedaung Substation since September, 2017. They were already completed and so transmitted via National Grid to Rathedaung by 25th March, 2018.

H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE accompanied by Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo and responsible persons of Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation inspected 66 kV University substation in Kamayut, 66 kV MRTV-3 substation, Kamayut Township Electrical Manager Office, 66 kV U Wisara (GIS) substation and Material Planning Department (Yangon) in Yangon Division on 24th March, 2018 in the morning.

A ceremony to present compensation to the farmers was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Shwegyin Towship, Bago Region yesterday morning .
