H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE discussed with H.E. Mr. Ichiro MARUYAMA, Japan Ambassador for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, for enhancing cooperation in Electricity and Energy Sector between the two countries at Minister”s Parlour, Nay Pyi Taw, in the afternoon.

H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE and Chief Minister for Rakhine State U Nyi Pu accompanied by Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, Rakhine State Minister for Electricity, Industrial and Road Transport U Aung Kyaw Zan and responsible persons inspected construction situation of Thahtay HPP constructed by group No.(4) and which is situated on Thahtay Chaung, about 12 miles away from North-East of Thandwe, Thandwe District, Rakhine State on 5th May,2018 in the afternoon.

H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE and Chief Minister for Rakhine State U Nyi Pu accompanied by Rakhine State Minister for Electricity, Industrial and Road Transport U Aung Kyaw Zan and responsible persons inspected the gas production and distribution status from Block A-1 and A-3 of Shwe Project, Rakhine State, northern part of Myanmar on 5th May, 2018 in the morning.

During the second year in office of the incumbent government, the Ministry of Electricity and Energy has been building power plants, national grids and sub-power stations to meet the growing demand of electricity, to ensure power system stability and to supply power in full capacity enabling citizens and industrialists to buy electricity at reasonable price. Moreover, it is focusing on putting more money into the Treasury by producing and distributing energy.

H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE accompanied by Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing, Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, Departmental Heads and responsible persons arrived to No (1) Refinery (Thanlyin), Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise (MPE) on 28th April 2018 in the morning.
